Mourn not
The scorching of prized dreams
The abandonment of Gods
The wilting of collective spine
The loss of the undeserving
Mourn
What it truly is
The death of misplaced faith
P.S> This is as much for me to come to terms with the reality as it is for all those whose gut it wrenching right now

This is sick, they just behaved as if they are playing gully cricket, they should go home and learn how to bat first.
:-(
Very sad indeed...
@Parth: Oh Parth...you're just rubbing it in. :(((((
Misplaced faith indeed! Well-written.
They bowled well. :(
OMG..I cannot believe you guys are sulking like this..:)..cheer up
hey Pallavi, how about me breaking my satellite receiver upon your nice cheerful head?
A shameful exit-especially as they had the hopes of an entire cricket crazy nation riding on them.
IMO, the time is ripe for introducing variable pay for the team-pay them per run per wicket and link it to wins.
Maybe if we'd told them we were shooting an ad there they would have at least pretended to play :(
Sighh..As they say hope is the last to die :(
I am so sorry Parth. Believe me the deathly silence in our house is deafening at the moment.
@All: Looks like the sentiment is shared by everyone. I have worked my way out of depression. Watching the fireworks in the Aus-SA match helped. Looking forward to a month of good cricket.
I guess India just needs a different sport to be passionate about. Thats the only way our team can perform much better.
The smirk when Murali made the comment: "Indians have a strong batting lineup" and an after thought "on paper" sums it all up
Nice! but really, to expect a decent fight can't be "misplaced faith" ... they have done it in the past ... but these morons ... ah..
if Parth can go on and finish the marathon despite knee trouble, there has to be dudes who can bring the world cup home ...
I just though that if you and I had opened, we would have given a better fight! I swear to God we would have given better fight and provided more entertainment :)
Just the thought of playng for the country is so invigorating!!
@Pilgrim: I don't know about finding another sport, but I would definitely advocate setting some reasonable expectations.
@Abhishek: I completely agree. We had a better record as opening players than Ganguly and Sehwag :-) I miss playing cricket with you, had the most fun opening the batting with you and chasing down totals.
