The Child Is The Father Of Man

He gazes at that small serene face
And marvels at life's great irony:
A man of thirty years
Searching himself
In a boy of thirty days.

P.S> I had warned you about parenting posts. Here's one.

The verse is lovely! You know how to say the most using the fewest words. :-)

great. now i am waiting for your poop horror story. parents are perennially interested in the contents and consistency of diapers. what? you're not doing diapers yet? after leading us on for years and we've come to expect such egalatarian high standards from you?! be a man!!

Parth said...

@Jyothsna: Thanks!

@Nocturne: I don't air dirty linen in public. Neither mine, nor my son's :-) Very much on the diaper/burping duties but really, doesn't someone have to rise about it and publicize the romance of it all? That's my attempt. Call me elitist for that if you will!

B'lated Congratulations, Parth!! Had to scroll down to an earlier post for the details - been visiting the homeland and missed the earlier announcement. This must feel awesome!

Wonderful verse! Glad you're still able to make time for rhyme.

@Niranjan: Thanks so much for the wishes. I was wondering where you had dissapeared :-) Hope you had a good trip. Have to confess time's quite a premium though, and I actually blame work for it. Baby's fine. I have just dropped everything else I was doing to spend all my free time with him :)
