All that remain
Are a few drops on my window
Of nature’s furious dance
The grey recedes
And white emerges
In a graceful arc
I watch in glee
A giant kaleidoscope
Turn by itself
An attempt to capture the essence of my thoughts and put them in bearable prose, or worse (as the unimaginative pun indicates). Not too different from my scribbles on paper, only a lot more legible.
All that remain
Are a few drops on my window
Of nature’s furious dance
The grey recedes
And white emerges
In a graceful arc
I watch in glee
A giant kaleidoscope
Turn by itself

Hi your blog is good. Can you blogroll me.Visit me at www.averickshaunt.blogspot.com
Far from inept; sometimes word do a justice that photographs cannot. And sometimes it is vice-versa also.
"A giant kaleidoscope
Turn by itself"..
Thats a really nice touch :)...
And sometimes words do more than pictures...
ps: Line 6 typo, should be 'a graceful'...
@Sriram: Thanks. I don't update my blogroll often. I think there are other avenues you can seek to increase blog visibility.
@Vi: Thanks, maybe I won't take a photograph after all :-)
@Frissko: Thanks for the catch. Blog updated.
i would still like to see a photo.:)..wondered why this nature's show creates glee every time, no matter how repetitive this phenomenon is?
well said (as always) Parth!
You may be talking about rain drops of America but the verse reminds me of the Indian monsoons & makes me want to eat some hot pakodas with tea :)

Nice. I would love to see the pics!
[ps: I may be visting your city some time later this year]
@Pallavi: I think the show is never the same. No two showers are the same, no two sunsets look the same.
@Radha: Now you have made me want some :-)
@SD: Excellent, we'll get to meet after eight years. Please do keep me posted.
I liked the way you used a sentence for a title - very Gulzar :)
Your poetry is so beautiful and evokes such wonderful images that I don't miss pictures, truly.
@RTD2: Those titles would sound great in Hindi especially
@Lotus Reads: Thanks :-)
